Light Ahead

Closing his eyes to the world, Beating through the emotions hurled, Unaffected by the stone, Unafraid of being alone Comfortable with the peace in solitude, Filled with nothing but gratitude, For everything that he's been through, Until the moment he finally bid adieu Walking the path of isolation, Unmoved by the constant alienation, He takes the audacious plunge forward, Immune to the whispers of the dishonoured Looking through the streak of light ahead, No longer leaving things unsaid, Progressing along the path, fearless Comfortable in his absoluteness

Creed

All the voices in his head, Pulling away in different directions, Innocence left behind as he bled, Hung out to dry away his affections Between the jaws of anxiety and reality, Walking through the forest of illusions, Hit hard by the world’s brutality, Crashing out of his delusions Pushing him towards insanity, Or is it just another illusion? Each voice acting out of vanity, Or are they in collusion? He walks away in defiance, But they’re a part of his soul, Pulling him back into acceptance, As he loses away all control He opens his eyes to this new world, Overrun by the deathly greed, Vulnerable and weak, his emotions hurled, As he's led by the self seeking creed

Crawling Deep

Burning in the fire of anxiety, Striking his swords with sobriety, Abandoned heart of the lonely soul, Unaware of the feeling of whole Deriving strength from the night, As his spirit begins to ignite, Hammered into the malleable state, Left awake in the forger's wait As silence begins to creep in, Crawling deep within his skin, Whispering to break all chains, Set himself free of all constrains Darkness holding his hand tight, Unwilling to let him experience light, Unmindful of this maze of miseries, He's caught up in his memories

Memory

Hovering over the bed full of lies, Hiding behind the masked disguise, Of sins and virtues concealed within, Unwilling to let anyone break in Stressing on his vulnerabilities, Struggling with the hostilities, The cracks begin to shine under the light, Confronting the will of his fight The spot of light under his door, Another shadow washed ashore, Turned away in the dark of the night, The lonely soul's desperate plight The shadow darkening the door fades, As the light turns into dark shades, Until his memory is all that's left, Gradually dissolving under the world's heft

Sunshine

Let the old flame burn rough, The sunshine in your pocket’s buff, You've been there together before, This time you've got the power to explore Let your heart take over your mind, Turn a blind eye to wretched mankind, Hold his hand and take the leap, Let him know your faith runs deep You’ve looked into his eyes, Each time hating the goodbyes, Gazing beyond the surfaced darkness, Unearthing something not quite heartless Turning your days into melodies, Flying away like the little birdies, Don’t let the flame turn old again, Let the sunshine through without refrain

The Flame

The man doesn't care when he sees the flame, He just looks for another to blame, The man doesn't care if he gets burnt, There are still lessons he hasn't learnt The man doesn't care if the flame is real, Oblivious to its role of making him kneel, And once he’s in, he can’t go back, He’ll keep running till he's burnt coal black, The man doesn't care if the flame burns low, He believes in its afterglow, But the flame is never doused completely, Exerting its control over his life discreetly

Black Night

There's a fire in those eyes, Burning through the disguise, Of desire and deprivation, The civilization's abomination Generations lost into the wind, Without a hint of any chagrined, Unsuspecting of the blackbird's song, Oblivious of where they belong Unprepared for the impending judgement, Breaking away from the commitment, Staring into the deep end, Reflecting their failure to comprehend Desperately grasping onto the idea, Of the journey ending in euphoria, Into the lifeless dark black night, Where the end is nigh but not in sight

The Orion's Lap

Staring blankly into the Orion's lap, With his mind wandering beyond the map, Silence prevailing over the norm, Or is it the calm before the storm? The silenced voices in his head, Awaiting the moment they're behead, Is there anything left to come around? Or is it fate's final touchdown? The fire burning in those eyes, The ice hard at work to crystallise, The distant star falling through, Is that really her bidding adieu? Taking the leap of faith ahead, The voices hanging by the thread, Suspended mid air as it all flashes back, There is no more a fallback No more emptiness into the Orion's lap, Done away with the mousetrap, No regrets left behind, As he finally becomes one with mankind

Stories

Too many voices ringing in the background, Too many faces all around, So many stories to listen to, So many lives stuck in the queue None more recognizable than the other, As their lives keep pouring one after another, Everyone's running in the same direction, Just not together, there's no connection There's the sound of laughter in the air, The saltiness of tears in despair, The silence of the old man's prayer, The shrieking of the child narrating his nightmare But he's still living in the past, Hoping for the above stories to last, As he opens his eyes to the world around, Greeted with a herd of zombies to their screens bound!

Morning

It hit his eyes through the shade, The rays of sunshine killing the fade, His dark past flashing through the mind, As he goes back into rewind Looked down upon from the sky, Insignificant fools full of arrogance, Unaware that the end is nigh, Paving their own path of decadence The herd always in search of a leader, The world, a circus of thy ringleader, Waving the strings of his puppets from above, Freedom, a mere illusion like love Looking at everything but seeing nothing, Hearing it all but not listening at all, Free Will? The magician's bluffing, Open your eyes! He's preparing for nightfall The darkness blankets all of life, Leaving the fools in a state of strife, In his castle, away from all mourning, He's preparing his circus for another morning
